Ofsted 2017 – BCA is a GOOD College

Staff and students at BCA (Berkshire College of Agriculture) are delighted with the publication of the recent report from Ofsted, which once again rated BCA as a GOOD college.

The report highlighted and praised many aspects of the College including the following:

  • Students benefit from very good personal and academic, care, guidance and support
  • The respectful student body value each others opinions and are proud to be students at the College
  • Students develop very good practical and work ready skills

BCA Principal, Gillian May said, “We are very proud of our college and our students. Our dedicated team of staff invest so much in the development of the young people who choose to study with us. I would like to say a huge thank you to the students, staff and governors for their wholehearted commitment to our ongoing success.  The inspection outcome demonstrates that our commitment to the development of professional skills for young people is  highly effective. We are especially delighted that the Inspection Team recognised the high-quality teaching and learning we provide and the good progress that our students make.

We are justifiably proud of our inclusivity. Regardless of our students’ starting points, we support them in their journey to fulfill their individual potential and ambitions providing stretch and challenge, support and guidance and expert teaching to achieve good results.

I am sure the community will take pride in this outcome for its local College and will continue to support us to deliver a high-quality learning experience for all of our students.”
