Alton College

Alton College is a nationally renowned centre of excellence for sixth form education.  We specialise in the highest quality education and training and offer a broad curriculum for some 2,000 16-18 year old learners and 1,900 part-time adult learners.

It is one of only a few Colleges in the country to have achieved Beacon Status and also to be judged as 'outstanding' in all areas of Ofsted inspection. The College was awarded a national AoC Beacon Award in recognition of its partnership work with Treloar College on Learning Disabilities.

Alton College offers a truly inspiring environment in which to study. Its modern campus, a mix of purpose-built designs blending with open space, is welcoming and attractive. A strong feature of the learning environment is the range of private study spaces alongside superbly well-equipped specialist teaching areas and state of the art facilities.

College staff are specially selected for their experience and expertise in teaching and learning and for providing high levels of support and care.  As a result students consistently achieve outstanding results and the vast majority continue to university after leaving the College, including to Oxford and Cambridge. The College has a friendly and welcoming environment which is enhanced by its modern campus, award winning buildings and superb facilities.  Students can choose from a very wide range of AS & A level subjects, the International Baccalaureate and advanced vocational alternatives such as BTEC National Diplomas.

Applications can be made online via the College website for both 6th form students and Adult Education which also details all open evenings which take place each October and March.
